GREEN BAY, Wis.— The Schneider National Enterprise reported today that it is the recent recipient of industry awards of excellence from four distinguished sources of transportation and logistics news.

For almost 20 years, Schneider National has earned Logistics Management’s Quest for Quality awards across its many lines of business. This year Schneider is pleased to announce its van/truckload and bulk divisions are the recipients of the Dry-Freight Carriers and Bulk Motor Carriers Quest for Quality awards, respectively.

“Schneider National goes to bat for hundreds of customers each day,” said Steve Matheys, executive vice president of sales, marketing and customer service for Schneider National. “Clearly, earning the Quest for Quality awards is one way Schneider shows we’re committed to bringing differentiated value to the market through investment in growth, creative solutions and quality of service.”

The trucking side of Schneider National isn’t the only division that’s scoring a collection of awards; Inbound Logistics recently named Schneider Logistics as a Top 100 Third-Party Logistics Provider for the 11th consecutive year. Awarded to 3PLs that best demonstrate the ability to excel at meeting the changing needs and demands of their customers, Schneider Logistics ranked eighth this year on the Top 100 list and earned top-ten status for the seventh consecutive year.

“It’s an exciting time for Schneider Logistics,” said Tom Escott, president of Schneider Logistics. “From domestic distribution in China to truckload shipments throughout North America and Europe to imports and exports, we’re delivering excellence around the globe. Being named to Inbound Logistics’ Top 10 list again means we’re continuing to be recognized for our comprehensive logistics offerings, and that’s quite rewarding.”

In addition, Schneider is being recognized as one of Global Logistics and Supply Chain Strategies’ 100 Great Supply Chain Partners for 2008. GLSCS conducted a six-month poll of senior-level logistics and supply chain professionals to nominate organizations, like Schneider, whose technology, logistics, transportation or consulting solutions have made a significant impact on the company’s efficiency, customer service and overall supply chain performance. The poll drew 1,400 nominations of 400 supply chain providers from over five continents.

Finally, customers voted for over three weeks in seven categories of 3PL awards, and Schneider Logistics was awarded the Best 3PL for the Automotive Industry at eyefortransport’s 2008 North America Best 3PL awards ceremony.

“Schneider’s expanded brokerage services are providing today’s small and midsize shippers the same advantages usually only available to large shippers,” Escott added. “Earning these awards represents the quality of service and satisfaction we continue to deliver to shippers of all sizes, across all lines of business.”
